Vicki Gumbrell

Vicki spent her summers at university volunteering for a local SEN play-scheme for children, which sparked her interest in supporting people to increase their independence.

At university she was inspired by her lecturer's background in ABA, and followed in her footsteps by taking on a role at the Jigsaw CABAS school. She completed my Masters whilst working at the school, and then qualified as a BCBA in May 2018.

She has worked in schools, colleges and home settings supporting individuals and their families, implementing individualised programmes and interventions to increase independence, reduce challenging behaviours and help meet academic targets.

Since having two boys herself she has really appreciated the importance of support for families as a whole, and she passionate about helping ensure the support that is needed is in place.

One of her biggest beliefs is that every step should be celebrated, no matter how small it may seem to others, as to that individual it can be a huge achievement!
